About Northern Lights Hunting trip
The Northern Lights is one of the most amazing natural phenomena of the planet Earth. The aurora season in Murmansk lasts from late August to mid-April. During these months we can watch the beautiful sky lights with green, pink and purple colours. Our professional guides follow the forecast every day to find the best night for your hunt. Stay in Murmansk for at least 3 days to have more chances!
We are providing the Northern Lights Hunting tours since 2016 and served about 24000 tourists from more than 20 countries: Asia, Europe, America, and Australia.
Program of the Northern Lights Hunting tour
- Book the tour for the evening you want. At about 6 p.m. our team checks the sky forecast and confirms whether the hunt goes ahead that night. If it is cancelled, you get a full refund.
- At around 9 p.m. our driver and guide pick you up at your hotel in Murmansk.
- We drive to the place with the clearest sky — sometimes up to 150 km from Murmansk.
- When we find the Aurora Borealis, the photographer takes professional photos and videos of you under the lights: group shots first, then individual ones.
- If you get cold, you can always warm up in the car. Hot tea and cookies are on board.
- Back to your hotel. The hunt usually takes 3-5 hours.
- You get your photos and videos the next day.
