THE TOUR PROGRAM

1ST DAY. ARRIVAL. MURMANSK CITY TOUR. WELCOME DINNER. NORTHERN LIGHTS TOUR.

  1. Arrival in Murmansk. Transfer from the airport to Murmansk..
  2. Lunch in Murmansk in local restaurant in the city center.
  3. Murmansk city tour for 2 hours. We will visit the most famous places in Murmansk with panoramic views of the city.
  4. Transfer to the glass Igloo 'Arctic Lights Residence', check-in. Dinner in local restaurant.
  5. If the weather conditions are good for Aurora Hunting - we start the trip! Duration of the trip is 3-5 hours. When we find Aurora Borealis, a guide-photographer will ask you to move quickly to take the best photos, because the Northern Lights are regularly changing. Firstly the guide takes group photos and then individuals.
  6. If you get cold, you can always warm up in a warm transport. Guests are offered tea and light snacks (cookies, chocolate, etc.).
  7. Come back to your Igloo hotel.

2ND DAY. THE TERIBERKA VILLAGE. ARCTIC OCEAN COAST.

  1. Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide in 'Arctic Lights Residence'.
  2. Transfer to the Teriberka village for 130 km. Along the way, we will have stops in tundra (northern deserts) for taking photos and videos.
  3. The first stop in Teriberka is the parking lot of abandoned wooden fishing boats that have been in this place for more than 100 years. 10-15 minutes for taking pictures of local panoramic views.
  4. Lunch in the local café in Teriberka (lunch with local seafood)
  5. Snowmobile sledding trip to the Arctic Ocean coast to 'Dragon Eggs' & Frozen waterfall. Sometimes it is windy, and you need to be ready for the real storm! We will have about 30 minutes for walking and taking photos & videos.
  6. Finishing the program in the Teriberka village. Arrival in Murmansk by 19:00 - 20:00.
  7. Dinner in Arctic Lights cafe (a-le carte, not included).
  8. Visit Russian Sauna in 'Arctic Lights'.
  9. Northern Lights tour (if the weather conditions and solar activity are good enough for Aurora hunting). Our tour includes 1 Northern Lights tour.

3RD DAY. SNOWMOBILE TRIP, CHECK-OUT.

  1. Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide in 'Arctic Lights Residence'.
  2. Snowmobile trip for 1 hour in local areas. 2 persons per snowmobile. Before the trip you will be given a safety briefing and suitable equipment will be selected.
  3. Lunch in the local cafe. Check-out.
  4. Transfer to the airport of Murmansk.

Upon request we can also add the following (for private groups):

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

1. HOW TO BOOK THE TOUR?

At the time of booking your tour, you are required to make a 20% deposit. Full payment for the tour is due 14 calendar days before the start of the tour. Payment is made by bank card to our company account. Your reservation manager will send you all instructions individually.

2. WHAT ABOUT TICKETS AND TRANSFER INFORMATION?

Private transfer from / to airport is included in price.

3. WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE?

Breakfast at the hotel, 3 lunches, 1 welcome dinner..

4. WHERE IS THE MEETING POINT IN MURMANSK?

We start our trip from the airport and every daily trip we will start from Arctic Lights Residence.

5. WHERE IS THE ACCOMMODATION ?

2 nights in the glass Igloo 'Arctic Lights Residence'. Double or Single accommodation. In igloo it could be additional bed.

6. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?

The minimum age of tour participants is 6 years. If your children are under 6, a private tour can be arranged for you just for your group.

7. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF SEEING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ?

The chances of seeing the northern lights are equal from September 1 to April 10 each year. The brightness of the aurora depends on solar activity, which can be predicted 28 calendar days in advance. To increase your chances of seeing the Aurora, the Arctic Vacation tour includes 1 Northern Lights trip. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and no one can guarantee their appearance. If you don't see the Northern Lights with your own eyes, there are no discounts. You can book a hunting trip for the 3rd time, provided that we have free guides and transport.

8. HOW TO DRESS FOR A TOUR?

The air temperature in Murmansk in September can drop to -10 C degrees below zero, so we recommend taking with you a full set of winter clothes: thermal underwear, a fleece jacket with a collar, warm pants, a warm jacket, warm shoes, warm socks, hat, scarf, gloves.

9. WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU TO MURMANSK?

We recommend taking with you a portable charger for phones, a personal thermos or thermal mug, a backpack for personal belongings during the tour, self-heating bags for hands and feet (these can be purchased at Sportmaster). Also, don’t forget to take your compulsory medical insurance policy, passport, and chargers for your devices with you.

10. WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE GROUPS AND THE TRANSPORT FOR MOVEMENT?

The group size on our trips is up to 6-10 people per group. We travel in a prepared and modern Mercedes Srpinter. Drivers have more than 5 years of driving experience.
